Ordering and transporting

  • Q How do I begin to order the tests from Xcelom?

    For local providers, please contact Xcelom on phone (852) 3955 1230 or email us on contact.us@xcelom.com.

    For overseas providers, please contact your local Xcelom representative.

  • Q How do I order test kit from overseas?

    You could contact your local Xcelom representative for more information.


  • Q How do I complete the test request form (TRF)?

    Please fill in all the required information including patient details, clinical information and the selected test panel. Please also complete the consent form with both patient and doctor signatures, date of signatures and checking the two consent boxes. All the information must be filled on the consent form. Any missing information on the test request form may cause a delay in turnaround time for results.

Sample requirement and shipping

  • Q What are the sample requirements for Xcelom tests?
    Fill the provided Streck 10-mL Cell-free DNA BCT○R tubes with at least 10mL of the mother's blood. Sample may be rejected if the blood is clotted or hemolyzed. Please contact us for the sample collection instructions.
  • Q How do I store the collected blood samples before shipping?
    Collected blood sample should be kept at room temperature (16-30 oC). Do not refrigerate or freeze the collected samples. Please contact us for the sample collection instructions.
  • Q Where and how should the sample kits be stored?

    The sample kits should be stored at room temperature (16-30oC). Do not refrigerate or freeze the collected samples. The kits should be shipped as soon as possible to maintain the quality of the blood. Please Contact us for the sample collection instructions.

  • Q Who should I contact for sample pick-up service?

    For local providers, please contact Xcelom customer service team for sample pick-up service. Please contact us for more information of our courier service request cutoff time.

    For overseas providers, please contact your local Xcelom representative for sample pick-up service.

    NOTE: sample will be rejected if sample arrival into Xcelom exceeds 96 hours from time of collection.
